Our mission at Mohamed Ebrahim Serang Centre (MESC), Valsad is to strengthen the maritime workforce by delivering practical, hands-on skill training that enhances safety, employability, and onboard performance. We are committed to providing structured training programs for deck ratings, engine ratings, and workshop trades that reflect real shipboard working conditions.

About NUSI-ITF Trust for Indian Seafarers
The National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) is the leading Seafarers Union in the country. The NUSI in co-operation with the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) set up a Welfare Trust called NUSI/ ITF Trust. The objectives of the trust are:
- Welfare activities for the benefit of the Indian seafarers and their families.
- Establish Academies, Hospitals, Senior Seafarers Sanatorium and Holiday Homes.
- To support colleges, schools, community centres where there are large concentration of seafarers residing, for construction of new facilities. Support other public charitable trusts which are focussed on seafarers welfare.
- Financially support deserving Indian citizens on a case to case basis for medical and other assistance.
